School Hoilday Programs

Each school holidays the Australian Shakespeare Company holds drama workshops for Melbourne’s budding young performers.

Every school holidays students aged 8 – 17 can enjoy a fun filled week working on and playing with Shakespeare and other texts. Run by professional Australian Shakespeare Company actors and directors, these action packed drama workshops are comprised of character work, unlocking text, exploring the world of the play, improvisation, clowning and stage combat with plenty of games thrown into the mix!

Enrolments close the Thursday prior to the start of each program.

Focus On: Workshop Series

Our ‘Focus on:’ workshop series are fun, weeklong investigations into the world of the chosen play, building towards a showcase presentation for friends and family. Lead by professional ASC actors and directors, the workshops place a strong emphasis on character work and unlocking Shakespeare’s language, with a colourful array of actor techniques explored alongside improvisational activities. And with plenty of games thrown into the mix, of course!

Get ready for an action-packed week of play, performance, and Shakespeare, as well as a great opportunity to make some new friends!
