Our Young Bards Educational opportunities aim to extend the Australian Shakespeare’s Company’s vision of offering exciting, contemporary theatre produced the way Shakespeare intended – unshackled from traditional constraints, accessible and above all entertaining for everyone.

Young Bards is a series of creative workshops and performance opportunities for young people aged 7 to 18. Whether you’re a school, a student or just have a passion for Shakespeare we have something that will have you buzzing for more!

We offer a range of programs, productions and classes that will meet your needs. Whether it’s a simple introduction to Shakespeare, something more specific such as intensive VCE tutoring, learning the tricks of the trade or a burning desire to be in a play we have something for you.

“Bravehearts has been a fantastic experience. It’s really helped me open my eyes and see what the world of acting professionally is truly like. I’ve loved every moment of it.”

“Your performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream completely revolutionized my students’ attitude to Shakespeare. How can I thank you for what you have done for these students?” Jo Vandermark, Teacher

Thanks for your great work last week… it exceeded expectations! There has been a transformation in the way in which the class is responding to the play. No longer are they simply reading words from the page – they are far more engaged in the play itself and the characters that make up the play” Bob Hillman, Trinity Grammar School
