Located at Birdwood Avenue. Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is approximately two kilometres from Melbourne’s city centre.
Street metered parking is available for up to four hours. Please note parking is limited depending on nearby events.

Please be aware that the location of performances in the gardens varies depending on the production. Make sure you follow the signs and if you’re confused reach out to the ASC team, we’re happy to help guide you!
Tickets to all our productions can be purchased online via our online ticketing system or Ticketmaster. You may also call our Box Office between 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday during off-peak season and Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm during peak season. Our box office is also open one-hour before every performance. Tickets can also be purchased on site from our Box Office 1.5 hours before Shakespearean productions and 1 hour before others.
All our outdoor shows are presented in the style of “Picnic Theatre”. This means there are no seats provided and you are encouraged to bring along anything that will make your experience more comfortable, such as: a blanket, cushions, beanbags or camping chairs.
You may bring along a chair of any height, however please keep in mind that chairs raised more than 15cm off the ground will be placed at the back of the lawn so as to not obstruct the view of other guests.
For all Under the Stars productions located on the Southern Cross Lawn, Chair hire is also available onsite for $5 each, subject to availability. Seating cannot be reserved in advance.
A-Reserve - This section comes with pre-allocated low-rise chairs. There is no need to bring along your own.
