Athenaeum Theatre

About the Theatre 

It is the Oldest Public institute of Melbourne. It holds a range of areas for various entertainment types. A small studio is located inside the theatre along with a subscription library. There is a main theatre where comedy and music are usually performed. 

With an array of different performances, the Athenaeum theatre has something on for everyone. 

Public Transport 

The theatre is located in the heart of Melbourne, next to the Town Hall which is on the corner of Collins and Swanston St. 

Trams, 11, 12, 48, 109, 1, 3, 5, 6, 64, 67, and 72 will get you there. 

The closest Train Stations are Town Hall Station and Flinders St. 

The closest car parking is situated at the Westin Hotel on Collins (entry via Flinders Lane). Other carparks are located within the CBD. 

Box Office is located at the rear of the foyer. Enter through main entrance, head towards the bar on the right hand side of the foyer. The Box Office is located next to the bar area. 

Box Office Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. On performance days, it is also open 2 hours prior to the performance, as well as on Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday, 1 and a half hours prior to the performance.
