Our family theatre events are picnic-seating style events. Chairs will not be provided, so please plan accordingly!
Guests are welcome to bring along anything that will make their experience more comfortable; this may include picnic rugs, cushions or camping chairs.
Please note that high rise chairs may be positioned further back so as to not obstruct the view of other patrons, especially children.
Picnics are encouraged, so please feel free to bring one along!
We strongly recommend packing for all weather conditions; raincoats for wet weather, hats and sunscreen for hotter days etc.
You may also bring any food and beverages you'd like to enjoy as a picnic during the show.
To protect the Heritage property of Rippon Lea Estate; balls, dogs, bikes and scooters are not permitted within the property.

Train: Rippon Lea House and Garden is a five minute walk from Rippon Lea Station, and on the Sandringham Line.
Tram: Catch tram Route 67 (to Carnegie) to stop number 42
Bus: Take the 216 or 219 bus from Queen street in the city on the southeast corner of Queen and Collins Streets. There is a stop directly outside Rippon Lea Estate. – Make sure to ask the driver to set you down at the first stop after Glen Eira Road. The trip, by bus will take 30 – 45 minutes.
Parking is available locally should you wish to drive (Mel ref 67 F2) – please note that there is no onsite parking.
The performance will be located on the Cedar Lawn, at Rippon Lea Estate.
Please enter the Gardens via the Main Gate and follow the sings to the performance location.

Tickets to all our productions can be purchased online via our ticketing system or Ticketmaster.
You can also call our box office directly on 03 8676 7511 (9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday when shows are on, or 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday during the off-season).
Our on-site box office opens one-hour before the start of every performance. Tickets can be purchased from the box office on site from 1-hour prior to the show, subject to availability.
The box office will be located at the entrance to the Garden - At the Main Gate.

Accessible Parking is available along Hotham Street, outside the Main Gate. Please be aware that spaces are limited and cannot be reserved in advance.

Please note, all performances take place on grass lawn with accessible paved pathways surrounding the performance spaces.
Please note that the garden paths are gravel and can make wheelchair access difficult. Please speak to the staff in the Gatehouse for a map which highlights the more wheelchair friendly paths.
Pets are not allowed at any Shakespeare Australia performance, however registered service animals are always welcome.
