Hop into your Easter break for one week with Shakespeare’s marvellous comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Four worlds collide in a magical way with the court, the lovers, the fairies and the mechanicals. Dream on workshops will investigate setting and character motivations influenced by enchantment and love.
While exploring Shakespeare’s themes and language through drama exercises and games, participants will explore key scenes of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and at the end of the week perform their own version of this miraculous and starry-eyed comedy.
With professional actors guiding the process, young actors will develop techniques for learning lines, character development, physical and vocal techniques, and experimenting with form, style and adaptation.
